Hey guys! With all this excitement building up over i46, I would like to make it a little more clear how and where you can find up to the minute information, match results, streams, and all the awesome photos and videos we will be making all weekend long.
eXtine, Sal and myself will be live tweeting all weekend long (well, I cant promise Sal will, but eXtine and I definitely). I will be with the teams the first night and will provide up to the minute information on what they are doing, eating, playing and all the difficulties that come with being in a different country and playing on a different PC. eXtine will be providing tournament updates, production updates and any and all information about the adventures of him and the eXtv crew all weekend long. You can catch me @drshdwpuppet and eXtine @extelevision. Sal will be filling in the blanks and providing his own unique view on life @SalTF2.
Sure, you say, text is all well and good, but a picture, now that speaks 7.14 tweets! Well, you are half right. I will be tweeting all of the best pics and moments right to @drshdwpuppet, but all the other pics, the hundreds and hundreds of pictures that my 48 gigs of memory cards can hold, will be uploaded to the eXtv facebook page at facebook.com/extelevision. Click on the images link and go into the i46 directory. I will do my best to tag all of them, but might not be able to get to everything.
Interviews will be done using our collection of camera gear, processed by our crack team of expert video monkeys (LuckyLuke and myself) will be uploaded straight to the extv youtube channel starting Friday, midday. The quality will vary depending on which camera is used and who is being interviewed/what is being filmed, but it will be a good place to see if Clockwork still has what it takes to be the most beautiful gamer of i46, whether Admirable really is always drunk, and to meet the cast, crew, support teams and celebrities of this, the biggest LAN party TF2 has ever seen. You can find all that at youtube.com/commft or, for Thursday night footage and some more independent work, youtube.com/shdwpuppetmd
If you want to see anything in particular, an interview with your favorite European E-sports hero, a picture of the setups, rooms or anything at all you don’t see, hit me up @drshdwpuppet and I will try to handle your request as best I can.
As for streams, eXtv is hands off for this event. Vanillatf2, with their superstar casters, will be attending in force, ready to capture every moment of in game action all weekend long. Check out Vanillatf2.org for all the action. Match tickers, post match write-ups, even some interviews, articles and other key information will be available all weekend long right there. Show our European friends some love and visit VanillaTF2.org for all your i46 reporting needs.
I, or another extv caster, may provide audio only casts for key Mixup or LG matches, to be determined by available time and technology. Stay tuned to our twitter feeds for more information as the weekend progressed.
This is a historic and key event for the TF2 community and I am proud to be representing eXtv and the North American community at i46 this weekend. It is my goal to make sure that everything is covered extensively so that you, our north American audiences, and audiences abroad can stay informed and entertained all throughout the weekend. Give us feedback or requests on any major TF2 forum outlet (etf2l, natf2, teamfortress.tv or the extv forums) or by twitter @extelevision or @drshdwpuppet. You can email pictures you take at the event for posting to our facebook, or any tips, leads, ideas or requests at amwilliams@extelevision.com
Thanks everyone and have a great weekend!
Alex.
