eXtv Looking For Staff!

eXtelevision has always been driven by the desire to help the community. In order to be able to further provide for the community as a whole, eXtelevision LLC. is looking to increase our capabilities by expanding our volunteer staff. eXtv is looking for staff members that will continue to contribute long term. We are very understanding when it comes to conflicting real life commitments. Want to improve the TF2 community? Do Work.

 Available Positions:

 Live streaming cameraman –

Streaming is a resource intensive operation and not everyone has the necessary hardware/internet. Cameramen must be able to achieve a high level of stream quality and have familiarity with the production process. eXtv will assist our cameramen on learning the art of camerawork and producing live coverage. Cameramen are expected to pro-actively try and schedule coverage and work well with other eXtv staff members to achieve the best results possible.

Post-produced demo recording/editing capabilities –

eXtv is looking for video editors interested in producing post-produced match coverages, match highlight videos, and community frag videos. Moments of Glory and Glimpses of Mediocrity are part of this as well, but are more of a starting ground / secondary focus compared to other projects.

Website Assistant / Writer / Promo assistant –

eXtv is in need of personnel who can help maintain our archives on eXtv by posting the VoDs from live broadcasts and keeping a current list of videos posted to YouTube. Writers will be given the freedom to write predictions, recaps, community commentaries and helping us stay on top of current relevant stories.

Scheduler –

The scheduler position will help decide which upcoming matches and events will be covered by the eXtelevision live streaming crew. It will be their responsibility to communicate with teams to ensure the accuracy of our scheduling information, and with the eXtv staff to establish the broadcast crew for the coverage. The scheduler will also assist with the dissemination of this information via our website and other locations.

Coaches –

eXtelevision is looking for the assistance of responsible, mature, eXperienced members of the TF2 community interested in coaching players and teams. Coaches will be expected to assist with producing introductory level content, bring players together for scrimmages, help improve player’s skills, and overall act as an inspirational figure. Further details will be discussed in private before eXtv’s plans in the area are made public.

Pub Stars –

eXtelevision is supported by our server providers EoReality.net with several TF2 game servers and a BF3 server. We would like to return the favor by keeping our servers as full as possible and are looking for players who like to pub, like to rally crowds, and seek to improve the pub experience. Familiarity with SourceMod, TF2 CVars, and Server Operation a plus. We can potentially add more servers, but need to fill the ones we have first.

Event Organizers –

eXtelevision wishes to expand the number and scope of TF2 events in the community. Event organizers will work together with the rest of the eXtv staff to plan and execute small and big events. Organizers will assist with setting up documents pre-event, enlisting players/teams, publicizing the event, co-ordinating with our production team, and administrating the event. Event organizers should have experience organizing tournaments as well as experience dealing with TF2 servers.

Graphic Designer -

We are looking for talented artists that are interested in creating graphical packages for use in tournament promotion and stream production. Other eXtv projects that need the attention of a graphic designer are in-game uniform sets and T-shirt/merchandise design.

Map Maker -

eXtelevision has some grand plans for the future that will require the help of a map maker experienced with Valve’s Hammer software.  Interested map makers will need to know how to script within the Hammer system and have solid level building expertise.

Clip Sorter-

eXtelevision is looking for individuals willing to help us sort through clips, whether they be from clips submitted to us or from publicly available STV/PoV demos. This position doesn’t require any techinical capabilities beyond playing back demos. Clip Sorters will help us judge clips for the Top 10 plays of the month, set aside clips for MoGs/GoMs, and help us collate clips for community/team frag videos.
