Season 6 of the UGC coverage returns. The preseason UGC match on cp_foundry had some great coverage of How I Fragged Your Medic vs. Reddit East Coast. That match doesn’t kick in till 30 minutes in. The first part of the cast is eXtine, Duder, and Hexagrams covering the CEVO-Open Superior Posterior vs. Swag Pants. With CEVO and UGC covered you’d think our casters were done for the night, but no, our mighty crew covers the ESEA-O Playoffs match between Slanted Eyebrows vs. Submit a Ticket on Granary.
Monday is still sharing the spotlight with the inaugural episode of eXtravision. You don’t want to miss the Letters to Robin segment and the well-plaid technical difficulties.
The ESEA Open playoff coverage continues with a team composed entirely of mentlegen named Craig Smith, the Incestual Timberwolves facing off against Syops TF2. Salamancer and eXtine had some fun casting that. Obviously they wanted to see another playoff match on cp_granary so they covered the Garbage Plus vs Lobby Footage game as well.
Moving on to the ESEA IM coverage we have Dr.Shdwpuppet, Salamancer, and Mile High Militia on camera as they cover the Washed Up Gaming vs. the dinosaurs match on Viaduct Pro. Do yourself a favor and jump 3 minutes into this video.
ESEA Playoffs are starting to get intense. In the Open division we have Witness 40lb vs Jamtown Jesus Jamboree on koth_pro_viaduct eXtine, Trekkie [HRG$$$], and Greaver on the commentary. Later in the same video, the skill level bumps to the the ESEA-IM with Laser Beams taking on Leviathan Gaming.
Over the course of the week the eXtv staff got together for not one, not two, but three lobbies and some Mario Kart Double Dash action.
Earlier this week, Valve announced Steam Mobile, which is currently in a closed beta. With a hands-on impression, I can say so far it’s great for staying in touch with your Steam friends and even keeps a chat log. It’s also exceptional at draining your phone’s battery (I have a 1,700 mAh on my Photon that usually lasts twice as long), and bothering the crap out of Sal. Whether you have an Android or iOS device, it’s definitely worth the download.
