Monday July 2nd

It’s been some time now but the coverage of the UGC Highlander Season 7 continues with Looking Handsome vs bonus! Points on Mikal’s favorite map, cp_standin.

 

Tuesday July 3rd

Two things delight me in this video, one: Source Filmmaker. Two: I’m a sucker for a good Disney song reference. I couldn’t ask for more in a TF2 video save for maybe a HUUUUUGE AIRSHOT, but those will come later in the week.

 

Wednesday July 4th

Tonight we take a break from the servers to watch crit rockets blow up up the free skies of Americuh.

 

Thursday July 5th

There was a patch for TF2 this week, but it’s not nearly as impressive as releasing two additional heroes in Dota 2.

With only 11 (original) heroes left, CyborgMatt gives the community a nice debriefing of what is to come.

 

Friday July 6th

Dane is clearly upset that I didn’t plug his video a few weeks ago, so he made a promo. He also tried to kill my dog. Enjoy the demo spam frag video, I don’t want to go to the vet again. Please.

 

Saturday July 7th

In other SFM related news, LuckyLuke gives it a go. Not a bad short, for a Dutchmen!

 

If you think the pros don’t enjoy some of the shenanigans that Valve throws into TF2, then you’re wrong. Dead wrong. Maybe even 7 headshots in a row by TLR dead wrong.

 

Sunday July 8th

Nothing happened today. Well, nothing that Pyyyour really wanted to talk about but he took some Vitamin “Man-The-Fuck-Up” and gave Salamancer a nice Skype-quality postgame interview about losing to Leviathan Gaming.

 

On a more somber note, this is going to be my last Weekly Respawn for some time. With PDXLAN coming up and an unpredictable schedule the weeks to come I will not be able to keep you haberdashers as informed as I have attempted to do so in the past year. It’s been fun and the competitive gaming scene is getting larger than ever. UGC is growing out of control, the ESEA is spilling over with talent, and Dota 2 is just on the horizon. With TF2′s replay system and Source Filmmaker released I truly believe the best is yet to come and I hope someone steps up and wants to become part of it.
